Extraordinary Circumstances

View from my window

I am sitting with my back against the radiator in my room. Today we had the worst snow in 20 years. London (of course) ground to a halt and the accusations have been flying all day and continue on into the evening news. "Extraordinary circumstances" one commentator says. "Unprecedented" says another. It all sounds distressingly similar to the apologetics of the bankers and their missing billions. I was meant to have lunch with the Fat Cat tomorrow. I'm sure he would have had something to say about all this.

This time next week I'll be in SP. I can't wait.

WOW! that's reminisce to the old days! insane. I would hate that. I'm already looking forward to spring!

So. You leave soon. Ready? Nervous? It'll be so exciting! We should chat again before you go.

Ps. I like your blog!

Ready? Check.
Nervous? Check.

Thanks so much, Susanna - without your encouragement, I don't think any of this would be happening!

Sounds like London is giving you a spectacular send off. Just as it should.

Travel Safely!

(BTW - It's Sonya. I can't figure out how to post this other than as "Anonymous". I'll work on it or change my name.)

I once visited Zurich in a snowstorm - it completely ground to a halt - just like London this week. Take a Copy of Thomas More's Utopia with you - nothing is unprecedented, the same old problems just come round again, but this time it's your chance to have a go at them. Good luck.
