I thought I was up to date with your blog and here I find a direct question that I have failed to answer.
Beauty and poverty are amongst life's constants but beauty is not made less lovely by any ugliness around us. The Japanese can find beauty in a flower beside a motorway or the sound of a bell above the thrum of traffic. If this were not so how else could we recognise loveliness?
