Shipwrecked, yet still docked

Things that are outside of my control are nearly always good for me.

Rictus grins are not my thing to hide the frustration and - yes - pain of having to work through the (often) explicable and (always) labyrinthine beaurocracy in these past few weeks as I begin to seek the renewal of my visa. The expectations of an easy passage to permanent residence were not so much a pipe dream as an expectant hope, and Romans 5 tells me that in such hope (in Him) I will not be ashamed.

I cling to the rigging.
